The community of Brick, New Jersey, is grieving the heartbreaking loss of Jackson Daniel Mueller, a 15-year-old student, athlete, and cherished member of his family and school community, whose life was tragically cut short in a hit-and-run crash. His passing has left family members, friends, classmates, and teachers devastated, as hundreds gathered in an emotional vigil to honor his memory.

Jackson, a freshman at Brick Memorial High School, was remembered as a bright and promising young student with a wide range of talents and interests. Described in his obituary as “highly intelligent, loving, creative, artistic, responsible, thoughtful, silly, affectionate, and just a chill kid,” he was someone who brought warmth and positivity into the lives of those around him.

Academically, Jackson excelled as an honors student and was an active member of the National Junior Honor Society, where he previously served as treasurer during his time at Veterans Memorial Middle School. Family was at the center of Jackson’s life. His obituary lovingly described him as a devoted son, brother, grandson, and nephew who consistently showed affection and care for those closest to him. He was especially known for his protective and caring nature toward his disabled brother, as well as his close relationships with his sister and younger brother.
